Well, if you read the whole article, you would see that SLI is nVidia's technology, and that ATi is showcasing their "Crossfire" technology at the next Computex.

I see absolutely no point in having four video cards. Well, probably because there is no point. :vikki:

I relly see no need for this, if it is more than 50fps then I am fine. But for people with money and a need for speed....

Yeah my friend showed me this at school, seems kind of pointless to me, he found a pic of the mobo for it, in the pic the board only had ONE regular PCI slot!! and why do the boards only support the Socket 775 Pentium 4? No AMD Version?

It IS a valid point if you are working as a devoloper... they could actually USE the extra power to cut rendering time. The rest of us gamers, however, should be fine with a "mere" two videocards... but I's still LOVE to have one of these anyway. If only I could afford it......

the power that four 6800s or maybe four 7xxx cards would use would be astronomical, you would probebly need a 550W minimum with an exceptional 12v rail. I certainly wouldnt get one, unless i could really really splash out... just one 6800gt or ultra would be great for me, let alone four

By the way... did you see where the new platform could, in future itterations, support upto 32!!!! cards? How much money would that be??? $500x32.... well, I know what Bill Gates and Ted Turner are getting for X-mas.
