The downside with thermalright's is that it's huge. I hope you can fit it into your case type big. If you attach the 120mm fan, you're going to have fun with the noise it's been reported to make, which is no joke. It's the best cooler, sure but it's also one of the noisier ones.

really my biggest problem with the thermalright is its size. It would just barely fit in my case and if it is true that it is very noisy then thats also bad. Id rather have a little room between the side panel and the cooler (thermalright gives me less than an inch)

It's only as noisy as the fan you put on it. Anandtech reviewed the Thermalright Ultra 120 eXtreme awhile back and has kept it around for comparisons, as it's basically the best air cooler they've ever come across. Using a Scythe S-Flex SFF21F (at 1600 RPM max, the fastest of Sycthe's S-Flex line), they measured it 37.8 dBa @ 6". Not a horribly accurate test I realize, but that's still damn quiet.

Clearance is the only real concern. If that's your problem and you want air, I'm a big proponent of the XP-120. Free wash over board components, too.

If you are smart and get a Nexus 120mm fan than the noise is not a big deal

Bs|Archaon;3991457The Zalman you mentioned is excellent, if a little expensive.

I was just thinking of getting one of those for my own E6600. I hear they're also quite large, but very effective.
