I was wondering if anyone knows where I could buy an alright gaming laptop for around $1200? Has to be able to ship to canada, i've been looking for days but only site that has good gaming laptops are alienware and dell. It doesn't have to be able to play crysis at MAX btw, just an ok gaming laptop. Thanks for the help in advance!!

I think a MSI GX720 should fit into the category. 17 inch core2duo 9600m not sure on the ram right now though.

And I think someone said that NEWEGG does ship to canada.

And if you plan to do strenous stuff you should probably avoid Dell laptops. No idea on alienwares, but well, those things just seem too big heavy and overkill. Definitely not something you might tow daily to and fro uni, home etc.

Gateway FX. Buy it from best buy and have it shipped to a company that ships things to other countries.

I tried looking for it but I can only find reviews. Newegg.ca and .com don't sell it, any other suggestions?

if you look around there are companies you can have the laptop sent to, then they will ship it to you in Canada. I would give you links but I forgot which companies it was.

What I meant was that if you spend $1,200 on a desktop, you will get GREATLY improved performance over a laptop. Unless of course you really need the portability.

If you really want one, this is the best I could find on Newegg.ca Newegg.ca - ASUS N80 Series N80Vn-X1 NoteBook Intel Core 2 Duo T5800(2.00GHz) 14.1" Wide XGA 4GB Memory 250GB HDD 5400rpm DVD Super Multi NVIDIA GeForce 9650M GT - Laptops / Notebooks

No thanks Daedalus, the Gateway FX is cheaper, and wayyy better, has a 17.1" screen, 9800 GTS, 4gbs DDR3 memory and a 350gb hard drive. Gateway FX alll the way.
