If you read the complaint I believe it was asking for the removal of "fake" sites that were using the name without consent, or programs using the same name but aren't affiliated with the real one. However, let's not discuss the specifics behind the complaint that you saw, that would be crossing into dangerous waters here. ;)

Google will be losing users pretty quick if they start kissing RIAA's and MPAA's arse... They have been an independent search-engine for years and their results should be truthful no matter what the content is. It would be pretty sad if they took a turn like this. Met this same result only once, though, so can't tell what it is about in reality... Not that Google is that good in any case, when it comes to spammed results. It's a small wonder that the spammers have not been more bold and extended their "key-word vocabulary" to other areas too. If this happened, Google would go down under quicker than you can spell "Rest In Peace." :uhm:

In the case here, the digital copyright act isn't being applied because of complaints by the RIAA. It's because of various sites using a P2P software's brand name without permission.

Only US sites, buddy, only US sites... The rest of the world doesn't give a crap. Drive one company out and EU will gain a new one. ;)
