somethings google just can not break into. for example, Google talk, Google just can't break microsoft's death grip on this area. I think i heard on the radio yesterday, onl about 5% of gmail users actually use googletalk, most others use msn, just becasue theri friends have it and their computer stupid family hads it

Google is a corporation. Like Microsoft, it is beyond a couple of guys tinkering around with software and it is now an amoral money-making machine. It releases all this free stuff not because they want to benefit humanity, but because it draws attention to them. And the more attention they have, the more they can charge people for advertising space. You're nothing more to Google than one of millions of 'clicks'. Simply put, if you're going to dislike one corporation, dislike them all. The only reason that Google doesn't charge you a fortune for all the services they offer is because they know for a fact that it would drive away all their business and be less profitable in the long run. They stand to make more money through simple advertising revenue. After their shenanigans with their Web Accelerator program I don't see how anybody can say that they 'trust' or even 'love' Google with a straight face -- if Microsoft even considered attempting something like that, they'd be sued so many times their heads would fall off. Google, on the other hand, gets away without a word against them. Dangerous, really.
its because google is a good company, who gives us free stuff

Alright, let's try this a different way. There is no such thing as a 'good company'!!!
lets say it this way, YES THERE FUCKING IS you seem to not understand the idea that not all companies must be greedy, there are greedy ones but not all are, they have a prime goal to expand, wipe out the competition, and gain money, but some arent greedy
Dragokatzovthis is either gonna take off, or be a flop. remember Corel Linux? I loved it! i was a hardcore fan of it, and then they killed it! argh! we will se
Funny you mentioned that. I just happen to be a big fan of the "latest" version. A small Canadian comapany picked up the pieces, and it is turning into quite the little competitor.
There is a free download version. Looks like it may take off after all.
Goobuntu... Based on Ubuntu, or Ubantu? Ubantu is based on Ubuntu isn't it, so it doesn't matter... Just thinking outloud...
I'm beginning to be afraid of Google. I said that I would worry, when they entered the Desktop OS market. This is getting pretty darn close. Although it does sound like a BBSpot hoax...
no, the hoax was a while ago when they released fake images of it.
Wanna go Double Dutch?

You my child are confused (and should watch your language).
The are compangnies with a good reputation, however in the end they all only excist to make profit and not to make you happy.
Dont ever trust a company, ever.
I try to not rely on them as much as possible, I dont use wmp unless forced to, I use itune, I use a sidebar, I replace all ms software aside from word, windows, and wmp with alternatives
