since the release of CATALYST 4.12 Anti Aliasing hasnt worked at all, so i gotta play BF1942, America's Army, CoD, FarCry and everything with out AA, according to ATi 3D when u right click desktop / propeties / settings advanced, it says AA is on 4x, but no matter what game i play i get bad jaggys, i play at 1280 x 960 with Radeon 9600XT should i go back to CATALYST 4.11?? any help will be appriciated thanks eagleone
You could always go back to the 4.11's, or it could be that ATI managed to break AA/AF. Did you reset both D3D and OpenGL settings?
I have the 9600XT too and found that having AA or AF on isn't worth it for the fps you loose, just stick with that resolution and high settings or you may consider having things like shadows and shell ejection off plus lower the gore level.
Which version drivers are you using Mr.Nitro, if you've gotten tha AA to work.
ATI Catalyst? Omega Drivers? Tech Connect?
I use an nVidia card, So I can't try out the Catalyst 4.12 drivers. The only Radeon I've had access to, is a 7000.
i find that if you got a uber l33t computer AA is awsome...but for the average dont worry about it...the FPS is what matters......and im using DNA drivers for my 9800XT and when i do use AA it has no problems
i didnt loose that much fps, when AA was workin i normally had it at 2x but i only have it a 4x now so that ill no sreight away when its back on oh and btw, i never have uber light settings on anyway im goin to go back to CATALYST 4.11 now anyway, cant wait for 4.13 tho, hope thatll work
i have a 9600XT and have Omega Drivers and the anti alias in need for speed underground 2 just turnes the whole screen black!!
Ah, they may have been trying to fix that problem, I think even many nVidia GPUs have that problem. Halo, and NFSU2 don't like AA.
They may have broke it, to get it to work in NFSU2.

. When i read reviews on the x800 and 6800ultra they said that the game did not support AA. Thats fine for me since the image is very nice at 960x720:D
I had trouble with the 4.12a based omega drivers...I just use the 4.12b:D
I use the ati 4.12 and omega plus a AMD XP-M 2500@2.2ghz,i have tried HL2 1024x768 with full settings,no aa/af and low shadows i get 72fps with everthing to the max 1600x1200 bla bla.....25fps:(
