How cheap? Under $200= probably a GeForce 7600 GS. Around $330= ATI Radeon x800 Pro.

Well, you can get a GeForce 6600 for 149. Or, an overclocked 6200 for 156. I would recommend saving up another forty or so bucks (180-195) for an ATI Radeon x1600 Pro; I have the PCI version and it works well.

The x1600 isn't that great. A 7600 is a fair bit faster.
