Hey all, I am trieing to run Quake 3 on my Ibook G4 running on Mac OS X 4.3, and Mac OS 9 Classic. I have a 1.33GHz G4, 512mb DDR333, and a 32mb Radeon 9550. I updated the graphics drivers for the Radeon, and it didn't fix the problem, everything is scrambled, the textures, and it looks like a spider web of messy random 3d images and textures is in the way. It is quite a mess... I assume, that because the game must be run in classic, the older drivers arn't working right, and I don't have a Full Mac OS 9, it is just the bare necessities to run classic. Do you think this might be my problem? Would I need to patch the game? Thx for your help.

Did you try running it in OS X? It shoud be able to run in OS X with out having classic. Did you try updating Quake 3? If I remember right there was a patch for Quake 3 to run on OS X since they had trouble with it in classic mode....

Edit: Take a look here. http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/games/demos_updates/quakeiiiarenax.html

Don't bother posting if you don't have anything constructive to say.
