http://www.hardwareanalysis.com/content/article/1808/ Yeah, we all know about AMD's antitrust suit against Intel. Those of you who followed the thread here might've noticed that I was just about the only one who didn't think it was the Greatest Thing in the history of computing, though nobody seemed to care. The above reference article explains why I took that stance, and it's nice to see someone who's not a persona non grata think it through all the way. That's not to say that AMD doesn't perhaps have at least a semi-decent case, but I do question their choice of tactics here.

Good read there. I can see intel getting off with that evidence alone, AMD does not want to advertise. Aside from Tech sites like tom's and a few ads AMD does crap compared to intel.

I don't know that AMD's rather weak marketing would necessarily give Intel a free pass (there is an ongoing antitrust investigation against Intel going on in Europe right now, and another company has recently filed a second, unrelated lawsuit against them), but it does point out what I consider to be a systemic problem with AMD right now, which was the basis for my initial scepticism over this lawsuit. Time will tell, of course, but in the interim it's fun to speculate :)
