Is it just me or do a lot of you guys know your stuff, or at least know more in one area than most, when it comes to hardware?

Is there a better way to compare hardware and learn about hardware than sifting through millions of tech articles?

I know about PC Mag, CTech, Tom's Hardware, etc.

Do you just have to read a lot, are there not any charts anywhere that clearly distinguish what piece of hardware is better (would that be benchmarks)?

Thanks

I don't really tend to read stuff, I just pick it up as I go along learning from other people's posts.

It's something you need to have an interest in, you have to keep up with what's new, what's good, what's bad, what's overpriced etc. If you don't do that you'll be out of date within 2 or 3 months and then you're back to square one.
