Whenever I try to log in to Reddit on Google Chrome, I get red text saying "An error occurred (0)". Anyone know how to fix this? I already cleared cache and cookies and all of that.

I decided to switch over from IE to Chrome because I'm tired of having to click on some pop-up bar about security every time I try to log in. And I want to be able to see the comment faces in r/fffffffuuuuuuuuuuu.

It could really be a number of things with that kind of useless error message. Someone suggested this on another site:

1. Go to Settings Icon >> Options >> Under the Hood Tab >> Change Proxy Settings >> LAN Settings

2. Check the "Use automatic configuration Script" and give the address of the configuration script used in your network.

3. Click OK to all dialogs

ALSO try disabling all your toolbars and addons in Chrome. If it fixes it then slowly turn each one back on to narrow it down to the problem.

If not, try reinstalling Chrome or change to a better browser (hint; Firefox ;))

Chrome is just as good a browser as any, if not one of the best. I'm not a specific browser fan, as I use quite a few of them regularly (Opera, Lunascape, Firefox, Chrome & Iron, IE, Sleipnir), but I must say that Chrome is the one I use most frequently lately – it still won't beat Opera and Lunascape, though.
