I'm getting an Xbox 360 and want to get a cheapish but still decent HD monitor for it. I was thinking if something like this would do?

What do you guys think?

This is what I'm buying in December: Newegg.com - HannsĀ·G HG-216DPO Silver/Black 22"(21.6" viewable area) 5ms Widescreen HDMI LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 1000:1 Built in Speakers - Retail

The monitor you have won't work since it says DVI. This one is HDMI, for consoles, I'm getting it for my PS3...

I curious as to why people are going with monitors and not just HD TV's. I'd go with the one you said if you weren't going to get a HDTV.

Because doing it that way is alot cheaper. Not everybody can go out and buy a HDTV, but almost everybody has a decent sized PC monitor. You still get the same HD resolutions that you would in expensive HDTV in a much less expensive, and easier to move around package. I just bought a VGA cable for my 360 to use with my 20.1" LCD. I have a 32" CRT SDTV, but i want to play my games in HD. Also, whenever i go to a friends house for a system link game, i can just grab my monitor and go instead of us having to find a TV to use.

True. I guess you got me on that one. I'm just not used to seeing people using computer monitors as gaming screens for consoles. I guess I should get out more often huh?

Yes, it will work just fine.

According to that spec listing, It does have a VGA port, so all you need is the Microsoft HD-VGA cable and your good to go.
