ok, now, i have upgraded my computer more than i intended to on my little spending binge and now im requiring one last part for this baby; a graphic card.

my mobo is a Abit AN8 Ultra with PCI X 16.

now my budget is limited and i dont want to go and spend 400-600 dollars anyway. i need something affordable, will be able to play CoD, CoD2, AoE3, PacMan, and also be PCI-X.

the most i would like to spend is $250 and i would perfer an ATI card.

any help, knowledge, experiances with cards would be really helpful and i'd thank ya for them.

Aeg

Well what video card do you have now?

All those cards their that I linked to would play the games you want to play perfect. Best card to get in your price range you wanted would be the X800 XL since it competes with the 6800GT.

Yeah, for sheer price to performance ratios there that agent has listed, that X800XL card is best in my opinion also. Considering it performs better than the ones listed in direct comparison tests on several diff. hardware review sites, at it's price.

Also, I believe they just launched another card here recently by the name of X800GT, it's supposed to be direct competition to Nvidia's 6600GT. I haven't researched that particular cards performance yet though so I couldn't really tell you anything definitive on it's spec. I do know that it would be a cheaper alternative to the X800XL though if that matters any, but, keep in mind it still is a brand new launched card.

I'd say so ;)

My advice would also be to go with the X800XL, 'brother'.

ATi all the way. That X800XL would totally rape the 6800GT, in DirectX games at least. OpenGL, however, functions better on nVidia cards.
