Thats pretty good, one thing I would do in the future is to upgrade my ram to the standard 512MB, and remember P4 with HT are getting a little cheap at some sites(hint hint)

so i got a good deal on a radeon 9800 pro 128 and it did wonders for my machine my far cry demo actually works flawlessly with fairly high settings but joint ops and a few other games still lag so much there unplayable i suspect my cpu and 3dmark confirms it. so now my dillema is do i buy my friends 2.4b p4(533fsb 512 l2 cache) chip for $200 cdn new in a box or do i wait untill i can afford to buy a amd cpu and mobo

AMD ALL THE WAY, btw you only need like $50 more to be able to buy a good mobo and processor.

i would not get a processor on e-bay, too risky. and for $200 you can get a 2800+ and good mobo on newegg.

Seriously Go with AMD. Cheaper and better for the price. I have a 3200+ and it kills my friends Pentium 4 3.0 GHz and my whole comp was like $100 cheaper then his.
