Ok I had this problem weeks ago, posted it on the forums and sadly nothing I tried helped..so I ignored it for the remainder till now..but its getting very annoying to have to keep switching off tasks to different computers while I can just do it at the same one.

After downloading the latest driver from nvidia, when trying to watch any kind of video on WMP or Winamp, the program hal floads, you can hear sound for 2 seconds, then it freezes to like 1 or less FPS(Desktop). I dont know what to do now :(

Are you totally sure that you installed the right driver?

Did you check to see if it is getting excessively hot? A hot GPU can cause freezing and CTD problems and the like as well as driver problems.

Im quite sure they are the correct drivers, straight off the nvidia site, I go to Video Drivers --> Geforce --> Win 2000 & XP. And the latest drivers. Before, with the same graphics card, everything used to be fine. But Ill take your tip, how can I check for the tempreature?

There are a host of decent tempurature monitoring programs out there (I personally don't know the names of them, but someone will recomend you one).

If the new driver is giving you trouble, then I'd go to add/remove programs, and uninstall the drivers. You should be able to find an older diver somewhere on the web. It's not uncommon for a new video driver to cause unexpected problems.

Ok I foun dout what the problem is, I sent my minidump file to my friend in germany..he says the new drivers arent going to work well with this graphics card, so I need some kind of Tool that totally removes all Nvidia driver related files(From the list isnt going to work since there would still be fragments left behind, and something still in registry)

Im gonna look for the file. Unless anyone knows where its from.

Most driver installers also check for and remove any conflicting ones.
