Hi i was just wondering if you guys could help me out with my PC, i have a ASUS EN9600GT/HTDI/512M and i was looking at upgrading my video card to a GTX550 or 560 and i was wondering if my PC could handle it or would it be easier just buying a new one? whenever i've upgraded i usually just buy a whole new computer. Or would it be cheaper/easier to build one?
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q9400 @ 2.66GHz, 2664 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s)

Should be fine. The processor might be a bit of a bottleneck, but you will able to use the new video card just fine.
It wouldn't be a huge bottleneck if he gets a 550, however he also wouldn't get the greatest performance out of it (maybe a mix or low/medium in games coming out in the near future, and some games already out).
Might get a slight performance hit on high resource games that are well optimized for quad, but other than that, should be good.
I'd go with the 560. It's always worth it to get the next level up from what you think you want. Trust me, you'll be glad you did.
How would I go running arma 2 or crisis 2 on max? They run pretty decent now but I don't know if the processor would keep up.
Maybe with a 560, definitely not with a 550.
so realistically it's time for a new system? by the sounds of it the processor etc isnt going to be able to keep up with present/near future games. Plus i cant install any more ram on it
