Alrighty guys, I'm going to need your assistance really quick here. You see, I have a custom built computer, thus causing me to have to install software for my USB ports to work. I have uninstalled, and reinstalled my software already, but my USB ports just aren't responding to anything I plug in; Webcam, Mouse, iPod, etc.

Do you guys have any suggestions as to why my USB ports aren't working for me? They don't even work when I restart the computer, and that usually helps. Help me out here guys.

Are you referring to front USB ports or the rear ones linked directly to the root hub?

Could be the case that your motherboard needs drivers for the USB controller(s), check in Device Manager and see if you're missing any PCI to Open Host USB Controllers or Root Hub devices.

If you have the front ones hooked up, try disconnecting them and see if it makes any difference, sometimes it does. Also, download the LATEST chipset drivers for your board, the ones on the included disc are almost always at least two versions old.
