DæmonAgent just said that Windows can find 4GB of memory if you read his post...

32-bit linux will address 4 gigs of ram, lots of 32-bit only motherboards will accept it. I did do some research around and found out sp2 will support 3 gigs of ram. and apprently windows xp pro will address 4 gigs of ram.... to be perfectially, its the first tiem i am hearing of it

AgentlaidlawShouldn't matter if its 32bit or 64bit. It should find the ram. 32bit processors can handle 4GB of ram so it should work.... Linux found it why can't Windows... I've did a google and other people with 32bit Windows have 4GB of ram and it finds it..

EDIT: Also asked on Windows tech support and they say Windows XP Pro 32bit does support 4GB of ram but they have no clue on how to get it to work.... There saying its something wrong with his XP..... Wish he would use Linux but no he doesn't want to take the time to learn Linux right now.....

Jak|17 I said he has 32bit also said he has XP pro. I new for a long time Windows XP can support 4GB of ram. Nothing new. But where is that boot.ini file?

Laidlaw, your right along with the rest, 32-bit win does support 4GB memory, but doesnt that include both physical and virtual memory? You could try lowering his Paging file to something like 128 - 256. Just dont disable it completely. Reboot and check if win detects more physical memory.
