I have a Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse 2.0 and it has just stopped responding.
I have no clue why. Both signal and battery power is good, and the device is connected, but it just won't move.
Can anyone suggest a reason why and help me to fix it? I hate this back up shitty thing that I have to use instead.
When you turn it over, is there a red light? If there is, does the red light go brighter when you move your finger over it? If not, try getting a bit of fabric and cleaning the bits you can reach inside of the mouse. It could be covered, preventing it from picking up mouse movements.
Well I don't have a clue. I would think that it would have been the battery, but you said it is fine. My mouse is just an optical with one wire.
Do you have a reciept to take it back? Perhaps a product replacement plan? :uhm:

With my experiences with wireless mice, you have to click one of the buttons to tell it that you want to use it. You've probably thought of it, but it's sometimes common with people who have just bought them. Try clicking the left mouse button then move it.
clicking the buttons doesn't do anything and there is no response (usually get some change in the red light when it's clicked).
you have a rock my good buddy have u ever thought about that?

I think he means you're fucked, it doesn't work anymore, it's just a rock.
Oh, it was an attempt at humour. Good one. Some people shouldn't be allowed internet access. ;)
