Did some dice on the cpu last night. Let me say, it feels DAMN GOOD to beat guys who are on superior cooling than you are. I cant wait to get that 580 cold now :D

here are a few of my results (cpu-z validation at 5.4ghz was sadly corrupted :( )

I can barely make out most of those. What I can see looks very nice though. :) Is that 961 on the 580 I see?

Going to stick with 4GHz myself for now. Want to focus more on a GPU OC. Got 4.6 to Windows, but BSODed with IBT. That was only with 1.35vcore though. I'm fucking loving this water. =p

Trying to get vcore low atm, will post a 3DM06 run when I... hm, when I install it, apparently.

yeah, photobucket sucks ass at rescaling screenshots.

960 was the gpu core clock, anything over that and I hit OCP. I need to figure out the driver fix for that before I take it on dice.

IBT, what the hell is that? :p My chip is too damn hot for all of that stuff. Ran it at 4.7ghz for everything on water and it was getting up into the 90s in vantage :D

As in the buit-in limiter? There's an exe out there that'll get rid of that, AFAIK.

How in the hell were you hitting 90?! You basically have the same loop I do, with better fans, and no GPU.

Edit: Quick 06 run, with a 5-second GPU OC. Not too shabby. I remember trying oh-so-hard to break the 20k mark with my 280.

4.0GHz (200x20, 1.26V, 1.23 w/vdroop), 850 core on the 580.

I was hitting 90*C because my chip is an extremly high leakage chip. Theres a reason why I was on dry ice and beating out guys that were using ln2 :D

06 is all about the OS, and cpu clocks. XP+ more megahurtz = 30k easily.

Looks like you got a mediocre clocker as far as 580s go, might want to give it more volts and see what it does on water :D

Yeah, I know theres an exe to turn off the software based OCP, but I think I might need a hardware mod for mine. We'll see though.

So not installing XP for a benchmark run. Don't care that much... yet.

Yeah, I know, I'm a little disappointed at that. Haven't done much testing with it, so it might just be Just Cause 2. Oh, you have seen my post in the benchmarks thread? I got it to 900 fine, but I want to try for more around the 950 mark.

Got 930 stable in game, but 3DM11 still complains.

Found out why the 580 died. Apparently one of the vregs didn't have a pad on it. (I know, I know, n00b mistake of all n00b mistakes, but there you are.) I don't know how that happened, as I checked the card before and after the test fit, and before the final fit, and they were all there.

Aaanyway, other 580 arrived yesturday, loop is leak testing now, so hopefully I'll have some more scores up tomorrow.
