Does anybody know how I can find out if I have a AGP, or express slot for a graphics card without opening my computer? Is that possible? Thank you.

If it doesn't say the model number of the card in the device manager use the unknown device identifier.

Start -> Run Type msinfo32 Look in the Hardware Recources |_ Conflicts/Sharing

3rd and 4th line down tell me my video card and what bus its on If you see AGP2.0/3.0 that should Tell you if you have AGP, else it would be either PCIe or you may have onboard video, in which case you would have just PCI

It says PCI Bus. Does that mean I have PCI? And is that good? And beside it it says Memory Adderess.

Do you know what make and model your current graphics card is? If you did we could probably tell you if its a AGP or PCIe card.

Does that mean I have PCI? And is that good?

If you do have a PCI card, thats not good. A PCI graphics card would be just fine as long as you don't want to play any games on it. PCI has been outdated for video card use for a long time.

or you may have onboard video, in which case you would have just PCI

I don't know, my old rig has integrated video and it reports it being on a AGP bus.

Static, on my other computer it has a PCI card and it runs great on Counter-Strike, Day of Defeat, Half Life 2, Juiced, Flight Simulator X, everything works.

It really depends on the type of card anyway, that's just the bus. Now, if you get a crappy card it'll suck. Which I will not get, and I will play FSX on it.

And marvin, on my other machine it's a 126mb pci card, and I'm getting a 256mb for this one that I'm on right now and I will use it for gaming. I will combine those two which will bring me up to 512MB. It's a Dell Dim 2400 that im using right now.

Oh and another question, how can I find out how much MB my current graphic card has?
