Do you guys know where I can get a program that tells me what type of RAM i need, since i need to get some more RAM since my PC is slow. Give links if possible to sites where i can download programs to find this info, and other specs of my PC too (note: i tried control panel/system/device manager, but they didnt have anything :( )

Open chassie and look at the little sticker or print on the chipset on the ramstick, should tell you everything you need.

umm...pull ur stick of ram out, (be sure to unplug the power first) if the notch in the bottom is in the center, it is sdram, if the notch id offset (closer to one end) it is ddram. the speed of the ram should be on a sticker.

(sorry for the double post, its been awhile since i was around sdram, besides, i had assumed someone would have corrected me by now...)

the sdram should actually have 2 notches in it, where as ddram only has the one.

Simple ways to find out for the less able. All the RAM I've ever had have little stickers on that tell you what speed they are, etc. Failing that, if you bought the computer pre-built, it should tell you in whatever documentation came with it. If built it yourself and still don't know, I think you need help elsewhere :p.
