so... you just adjust the fsb multipler or fsb speed. but in software or hard ware? beacuse you said you had to remove a battery on the mobo. and showed some program in dos i think. that gave me alot of info on oc'ing:D

If you remove the "battery" on your mobo, you wont be able to boot at all. This is what keeps your BIOS saved and healthy. Press "Del" repetedly when your machine starts up to enter BIOS, where most overclocking is done.

Before yo do any OCing, you best be aware of the dangers that comes with it. Heat, unstable voltage, in worst case burning out a few components. You also loose your shop-guarantee when doing this..

this is not something you should do if you havnt got general computer knowledge (and I aint talking about windoz knowledge)

It's not really needing it to go faster..it's the fun of being able to let it go faster and seeing how much you can push it. Plus, you can buy a 3 gig processor and it will cost ya.You can also buy a 2.4 gig and OC it to 3 gig...Saves you money.

Sure does save money... Buying my P4 2.6C for around $170 saved me $100+ on an easily overclocked 3Ghz+ CPU. $40 more and I had a nicer heatsink/fan and I was able to hit 3.4Ghz and stay under stock HSF temps under load :D

May I suggest opening the side of your computer (after you turn it off and disconnect the power, of course :P) and spraying it out with a can-of-air, then possibly installing a intake/exhuast fan in the side or top... It really is worth it and doesn't take a whole lot of time or skill.
