OK i fixed my mistake, I accidently put a space in the names of the entries. so your good now =D I see (and post) so many questions in the tech forum. So why not make in informative thread to give to ze community! Anyway, what this will do is make IE 7 be able to make more requests to a website at a time than it does by default, which should speed up your internet browsing. I would only reccommend doing this if you have broadband, otherwise it really wouldn't make an effect, it might even make it slower... PLEASE note that you will be editing registry which can really screw up your computer if you delete something... so just be careful. but this quick mod will be easy to do. --------------------------------------------------------------------- So, go to start > run > type regedit, click ok. in regedit, navigate to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ Software\ Microsoft\ Windows\ CurrentVersion\ Internet Settings. (internet settings should be selected) --------------------------------------------------------------------- Now, look at the names of the items listed. IF there are entries named "MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server" and "MaxConnectionsPerServer" then double click each of them and change their values to decimal value 10. You are done. IF you do not have the above entries, we will need to make them. Right click on the screen, select new, and click DWORD value. which will create a new entry, name it exactly, "MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server" and set the decimal value to 10. And now create another DWORD Value and name it, "MaxConnectionsPerServer" and set that to decimal value 10. And you are done! You don't even need to restart your computer just close regedit, open IE 7 and visit a couple of sites, it should be faster! worked for me. soo... good luck try it out and post to say if you're internet seems faster... good luck :cya: and if you screwed up something, don't come to me... i dno what to do. :p by the way, im noticing a HUGE difference, probably because my internet has high latency, because we use sattellite internet...

Huh yeah, whatever ^^

Hey, while we're talking about IE7 customizations (yeah I know, just optimizing is not so much of customization, but heh, that was the closest thread ^^' ) may also get a utility called "IE7Pro" at

It's free and adds several features / allows a few tweaks, including that "number of max connexions per server" thingy. For example, when IE7 final was released, I gave it a try, and really didn't like seeing the menus bar below the buttons ... well with IE7Pro you may change it "back to standard", right below the title bar :)

It also features an ad/content filter, though it's still not as easy to use as Firefox's Adblock.

I've read that the latest versions also work with IE6.
