I was installing a new addon for WOW and when i turn on the mod i snot there. But thats not the problem, when i try to delete the folder i get an Access is Denied error. So i restarted my pc and tried again but i still got the same error. The folder is not locked and not used by any program that I can think of. How do i delete the folder without having to format the drive or uninstalling WoW.

Thanks

Right click the folder and go to properties - check it's not read only or in any other way protected from deletion...

Well i tried that, and i still have same error, i can't do anything with the folder. I tried deleting it with the command prompt, didn't work. I tried deleting the folder which contains the folder which i want to delete but that didn't work either.

Shut down every program you can and try again. Antiviruses, chat programs, games, Internet, everything. You might want to unhook your computer from the network while you're at it, so you're not vulnerable with your antivirus off.

I believe he meant to say, "boot into safe mode."

click on the folder so that you can change the name of it. Change the name of said folder to whatever you like. Then attempt delete. If it is being monitored by WoW, then it won't allow you to delete it. But if wow can't "contact" the folder or it's inner workings, then you should be able to delete it.

Tried that too, didn't work. I've solved the problem by formatting the drive.

Thanks for all the ppl.
