IttoDoes anyone know how to un-overclock a computer?

Try resting your CMOS chip (complementary metal oxide semiconductor).

On the Motherboard there should be two contacts you need to bridge or a button you need to press. To find out which contacts/button consult your motherboard manual.

thanks, I gave it a try, and all it seemed to do was reset the clock. I have noticed a slight improvement of speed, and thats helpful... Also i was thinking might the problem be with my geforce fx 5200? would the games be putting too much stress on the card, I heard from another forum that the 5200 was only one step better than on board video. would my problems might be less noticable if i ungraded to either a geforce Fx 5500 256Mb, an Abit Radeon 9550 256Mb, or a Abit Radeon Gecube 9550 256Mb (all here in australia cost around $115 to $140) and get another 512Mb of DDR ram?
