right i have an ASRock K7s8xe and an amd 2600xp+ 512mb radeon 9600 etc. my motherboard has onboard sound which i have disabled in the bios because it is old and doesnt work, i now use a logitech usb headset. Trouble is though when i have this plugged in aswell as my usb network adaptor and microsoft usb mouse, the mouse doesnt work :( But when i remove the logitech headset it does, as you can imagine this does not make a good online competative gaming rig :? Is my motherboard usb shot? is my motherboard shot? I reformatted so there is no left over drivers etc. its clean i just dont know what to do :(

USB IRQ conflict or something similar. I dont know if there are ways to assign USB devices to specific IRQs, but that could be a way..

Well....sometimes with FIREWIRE cards, I know there are sometimes more ports than controllers....could this be the same with USB? **Wait.....that would just mean that one port doesnt get full data stream is all. Move along....and or delete this post please :p

Update your motherboard drivers, including USB port drivers. Flash your BIOS.

don't forget to install those drivers which game with the mobo.
