So I followed every step in this vid:
Except mine runs at 3.88 GHz (or 20 x 194) ATM, but if I set the clock at 200, I get a boot failure. I probably need to change some volt settings, but I fear to overvolt the CPU or mobo or something else. So how do I get my CPU at/over 4 GHz?
What processor do you have?
Signature, my friend. ;)
Just add some volts, duh! :p (1.4-1.45 is the max)
That was indirectly my question, yes. :) Ok, I'll try and post later on.
Is that Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro any good? It looks like a tilted stock heatsink. :/
It holds my i5 around 4 GHz under 30 celcius on idle and around 70 with Prime 95 stress test.
Hum, so I changed the CPU voltage to 1.45, but it still won't go over 4 Ghz. It's running at 3.98 now, with the base clock at 199. I still don't get it. Do I need to change some other voltages?
If the Vcore isn't helping you get higher clocks, it would bump it down if I were you. It's just creating excess heat and reducing the life of your CPU.
You should also try increasing memory and ICH voltages.
Ok, thanks. I'll try that later.
Looks you have hit a max. :/
