Hey guys, I've been thinking of getting a new phone. My carrier (T-Mobile) doesn't have that large of a selection available but the few phones it does have are alright. So here goes:
A list of things I want in it:
- I want a phone capable of wifi so I can send e-mails, etc.
- I don't want a flip phone-I've had enough of em'
- Expandable Memory.
- Preferably a good OS.
I have a budget also, around $150 and with that I can purchase the following:
A T-Mobile Dash:
I've been hearing that T-Mobile cripples the data transfer on it though-so I have no clue whether or not to get it. The other phone I've been looking at is the Blackberry Pearl:
It's good from what I've heard BUT it lacks Wi-Fi-which is a MAJOR downfall. I've been hearing about a followup to this phone which actually has wifi, but that isn't due until a few months down the road, supposedly.
So, with that in mind, can anyone suggest a better phone around my budget?
OK, but wash it first

The Samsung Blackjack or the AT&T 8525/Tilt (the Tilt is esentially the same as the 8525 + touch screen) are both excellent phones. Both are 3G capable and are equipped with Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP and AVRCP protocols (allowing for stereo bluetooth headphones). Both phones operate with Windows Mobile 5.0. The Blackjack has a 1.3 MP camera while the 8525/Tilt has a 2.0 MP camera. The 8525/Tilt also has WiFi. I just noticed your price range and unfortunately the AT&T 8525 (and especially the Tilt) would be well out of you price range. The Blackjack may not be however. The Samsung Blackjack is a quad-band phone and can be used on the T-Mobile network as well as AT&T. You would just have to find an unlocked one (or unlock it yourself).
