I have two problems, which I think maybe a virus. Whenever I click on Firefox nothing happens, it will not open. So now I'm stuck using Internet Explorer. Only problem with that is whenever I try to closee the window or tabe it freezes and I have to end it using task manager. Any idea? ||G|| EDIT: Oh and AVG and Spybot didn't find anything. UPDATE: I also found under the processes tab in the task manager after I click FF once it says two are running. After I close those two I can now open Firefox normally. But after I close it, it starts all over again.

Use HighjackThis to do a scan/save log and paste the log here. You could have as well jotted down those processes that were running and Googled to see if they were malware. If they show up again in Task Manager do that. If there's ever a bad process running you need to do more than just end it. You need to find and remove it.

Other good tools you can try are GMER, Malwarebytes, SUPERAntiMalware, a-Squared, Glary Utilities, and CCleaner. I also recommend Avast over AVG. AV Comparitives, the foremost AV test site, had Avast rated above AVG in their last report. All the above can be had free btw.

It's also not a bad idea to consider a less vulnerable browser. I found FF and IE recently to be associated with my problems regarding the so called Google Redirect Bug. Even after cleaning up what my security progs found I was still being redirected in FF and IE. When I switched to Iron, that all stopped, and I've been using it since and Googling a lot with mo problems.

There's been an above normal amount of bugs going around the net lately. Even some of the most trusted forums I chat on have been hit by numerous SPAM PMs. It's not a time to be taking unnecessary risks.
