Umm.....Ram is so cheap now. $50 buys you 512mb.
why stop at 512, go for a gig or maybe 2.
most games minimum ram is 512 now, i'd say go with at least 1 gb of a good brand (off the top of my head, Corsair, Kingston, PNY) 2 will last you for a good while. i've only had 1 memory stick go dead on me ever, and none of my friends have, so stick with top-brands and you're good for years.
I agree. With the prices of RAM being what they are right now, you can get really good RAM, and lots of it, for under $200.00.
You can get Corsair XMS 1GB (2 x 512MB) Dual Channel kit for $198.00 on NewEgg. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820145522
Good RAM, I run it in another system of mine.
my parents said they may get some ram, but who will insert it?/. How do i do that?? Remember i am australian and our prices are diff. 512 ram-$50-$80 768-$100-$130 1GB-2Gb $200 and beyond thats my guess.
Installing RAM is fairly easy. If you can run PC3200 (DDR400), then it's really easy. There is one notch on the memory stick and can only fit in one way. Just line up the notch on the stick and the memory slot and you're good to go.
Please please please tell me this is not for your slow ass 800 mhz machine?? How many times have we told you about this spammer.. I mean killer.
