I'm having a problem. I'm wanting to remove IE 7 Beta 2, but It's not showing up in the software removal list. Even if i show updates as well. Any way how to remove it? Any help would be highly appreciated.
Check the start menu and see if a uninstall is under the Internet Explorer 7 Beta box. If not, do it yourself. Check the program file folder for IE7 for any uninstall, if not, delete the folder Internet Explorer 7 Beta itself. Then do a registry clean to scrape away any remaining junk. Go ahead and get firefox first so you have a browser to use when figuring your IE stuff out afterwords.
Is that a update or is that a stand-alone program cuz if it is you can remove it through program files in c drive.
If i remove IE7 beta 2, i would remove the whole Internet Explorer which i don't want to. The IE7 beta 2 installation made a backup of the original Internet Explorer. And another problem is i can't find any uninstallation button in the start bar nor folder.
Then take the backup out and then delete the beta, then start the backup up.
I'm sure you can get another copy after if you just use firefox to find it.
Problem is, i can't find the backup. Otherwise, i would've done that by now. I've removed the whole IE folder, still I can't re-install IE7 Beta 2/3 in order to show it up the software list for me to remove it perfectly again. I am also unable to find any IE7 B2 settings in the register besides the original ones.
