hi i just ogt my new iphone 4s , previously had an iphone 3g which worked like a dream . For some reason i cant get the iphone 4s to work , the iphone recognises the network but cant join it . I have done all the usual , texted 2121 wifi , reset network settings , turned wifi on and off . Their is no problem with the router as an other comp connects perfectly and friends mobile phones do 2. Any help on this matter would help , or i will have to go to an O2 shop which i must admit i am starting to hate these things should just work , thank you in advance for any help.

Depending on what brand of router it is, lots of phones don't connect to some routers.
If its an older netgear or Dlink router there is a huge chance that is your problem.

Do you have any security settings on your wifi network? Such as have you got it password protected, have you limited access only to certain MAC addresses, are you using WEP or WPA protocols, that kind of thing? Is the firmware on your router up-to-date?
See if you can connect your iPhone to a friend's wifi network, or pop to your local McDonalds or a café and see if you can connect there. If you can connect to other wifi network but not yours, even after checking all of the above, it's possible that your router may be too old - as mentioned above, some newer devices have difficulties with older routers.
