What does the Fox say?

Well, I've joined the iPod Touch crowd.
I wanted small portable device for browsing the internet. As well as doing some minor tasks, which may or may not require a PC/Laptop. However I did not want the bulk of a 9" Netbook, but preferably something pocket sized. Basically a modern PDA.
I just now learned of the new Zune HD. Although it is unlikely that the Zune would dethrone the iPod. Microsoft may yet get a second chance at developing a better media device. Can it compete with the iPod Touch? I doubt it. I'm not expecting much from the Zune brand myself.
I've also read that Acer is expecting the Ultra-Portable Netbook market to merge with the PDA, and smartphone market. Being difference classes of devices for the same basic uses. Which is largely Internet, e-mail, contact lists, and media playback.
I still have an old Compaq Companion c140, my father let us have out of a lot of old junk. Which would have been even better if it could browse the internet. It was still good for a short game of Solitaire, or some quick notes every now and then. The full qwerty keypad was nice, and is a feature I will probably miss.
So I was wondering if any of you had any favorite PDAs, or ultra portable devices? Or any that you were looking forward to?

while i use my laptop mostly for this sort of thing, i am hopping down the line to pick up the palm pre. Assuming it goes the route of the other palm phones and in 6 months i can pick it up for Verizon.

I'm really looking towards the Zune HD. I currently have an Ipod touch (1st gen) but the Zune HD looks incredibly slick and nice, and doesn't hold on to figerprints like the Ipod touch does. The first zune was ok, I owned one for about 2 weeks then returned it and got a touch and I think the touch destroys the first gen Zune. But I do use my ipod touch for many things that a PDA would be capable of like notes, calendar and (on some) internet.
