Those sort of cards are for companies that deal with a lot of animations for games, or doing things with movies, etc... They aren't for gaming.

Building on, the Quadro series of cards (and others like it, such as the Wildcat3D or FireGL) are extremely high-precision, exacting cards used for fun things like CAD or PCB design work. As an interesting aside, the underlying hardware is virtually identical. The BIOS and drivers, however, are vastly different.

... and from what i have heard those Quadro, Wildcat3d and all of those workstation cards are very very poor for real time rendering which means they perform badly in games. I hear that the very expensive ones like that 4400 are only equivelant to a Radeon 9200 or so in gaming.

Yes: they've got very poor fillrates (useless for quality rendering, but absolutely necessary for gaming).

What do you run Battlefield 2 at, dude? Super-duper low. Hell, I was surprised with a 9800 pro, 128MB, I could run with no problem on 1600x1200 on all high or very high or whatever it is. Mack
