I'm thinking of putting up my system for sale, and to then purchase a much simpler Laptop. Initially I got my computer for some intense gaming, but I've got a PS3, and to be fair, haven't played on an actual Computer Game in a long while now. Those games I would still play would no doubt work on a good Laptop.

Anyway, looking to get a rough estimate on just how much I could sell this system for.

Maybe $600?

Most of that stuff is pretty cheap now.

First, try to sell it higher (let's say: $900). If it doesn't sell for that much, try $800 or even $700. But IMHO $600 is a bit too small for this.

Yeah, that's pretty much the golden rule of selling things. Always start out a little higher than what you actually think you will get, that way it gives buyers more room to make offers, and more room for you to negotiate your price and try to meet them somewhere halfway.

You could probably get around $700 i would say, maybe a little more. A lot of people will pay more than what the individual parts are worth just because its already assembled and ready to use.

Used? got all the boxes? did you overclock and trash things?

I would go as high as 800$ and dicker to $750, no lower.(if I tried to sell it)

Appreciate all the feedback. :) I've got all the boxes, the CD's and other essentials, so packing wouldn't be a problem. I've looked after the system too (no over-clocking or anything), though I'd probably reset the system to default before I passed it on, save whoever buys it from having to uninstall a bunch of software that isn't wanted.

I believe (in total) the whole set cost me around £1500, ($2,368), and it's only a year or two old. How technology changes...

Then more, used items should be sold for one half, slightly more.
