So I tried to install the latest version of iTunes a month ago, and it didn't work, with both new and old versions. It comes up with this:

The error sig looks like this:

In tech info, the file listed shows this:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-16"?>
Any ideas how I can get my beloved iTunes working again?
I'm running Windows HE SP2.
Try it again. iTunes 7 for PC had all kinds of problems when they released it.
Whoa that's a lot of info!
And I doubt anyone here will be able to translate the problem.
Try: http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/

ok ... without my eyes bleeding from reading all the code. Do you have any " mods" installed that allow you to rip and shred both ways instead of one way ?Try reinstalling Itunes also .
I tried re-downloading, works a treat. Rep to all, if I can give it out.
I won't deny that any version of iTunes has always been pretty problimatic on PC's. However, it is probably the easiest way to buy music online. And it has one slick interface.

My bet, Apple sabotaged it so you have to buy a Mac. :lookaround:

My bet; the odds on that bet are 0.5-1. And the opposing bet is 3,720-1. The same odds as sucessfully navigating an asteroid field.
Or in other words:
iTunes is so in-tune with Mac, that it is ready installed, iPods require no crappy installation, just PnP. It also includes Quiktime.
That said, there are very few media players for Mac that will play .wmv files.
