I'm using a pair of LabTec speakers for my PC, since my old ones died. But now, it's really strange, iTunes keeps cutting off one speaker.
It will, around half way through most songs, suddenly switch to my left speaker only, and then occasionally even shuts that one off too.
I know it must be iTunes that is at fault, as I can still hear that noise that comes through MSN Messenger when someone comes online through both speakers.
Also, when I switch track, it goes back to two speakers.
Any ideas for fixing this? It's really annoying me.
All of iTunes's damn audio properties are found in Quicktime.
Open up Quicktime. Go to Edit>Preferences>Quicktime Preferencecs>Select the audio tab. Make sure that everything in there is configured properly.
All is fine in there, still has the issue.
Is it an option to use something other than iTunes, or is all your music from the iTunes Store?
Are you using the latest version of iTunes? Do you have this problem with any other media player such as Windows Media Player?
Almost 100% of my music is from the iTunes Store.
And, yes, I am using the latest version. I do not have this issue with any other programs, no, but this could be because I haven't used them enough to really find out.
Not running Vista are you? Vista + iTunes =(M$) vs (Apple):daddy:
Apparently M$ are "working with Apple support to solve the issue." Basically there will be a patch for iTunes in the near future for Vista users.
