I'm new to iTunes, so my question is: Is there anyway to copy my whole Windows Media Player library over to iTunes? as I can't be bothered ripping all my cd's again, cheers.

You can do it by going File --> Import Folder on iTunes, then finding your My Music (or wherever it is you store your music) folder. Then it will put everything inside that folder onto your iTunes library. It may have to convert all the songs to a different format though, it did when I did it on mine - takes a while if you have a lot of songs.
Make sure you have all your music in one folder though, it just makes it a whole lot easier; because then you can just leave it to import it all.
thanks very much, they're copying/converting now, one more question: as I can't leave my pc on all night to copy them all, if I close the program will it carry on next time i load it from the same place? or will I have to copy them all from the beginning again?
Start from begining, what are your system specs, i shouldnt take that long
Perhaps it would be best to split your tracks into folders by artist or album, and then convert those one at a time so when one is finished you can just start with the next, and you don't lose as much time.
yeah, I've decided to do that instead, thanks for the help
one last iPod newbie question: Do I have to convert all my WMA's to M4A (as in will an iPod not play them if they're not M4A)?
