...will my i5 processor be bottlenecked by my HD 4650?

(Because if it does, I'll hardly notice it, since all games I've tried yet run fluently.)

Usually the question is whether the graphics card is bottlenecked by the CPU, not the other way around.

You bet it will! Well, in it will be severely bottlenecked anyways. Usually, if you're building a gaming PC, it's all about GPU, while your CPU could often get away with much less of an investment.

Pft. No it wont. The CPU is MILES ahead of that GPU.

Your GPU is creating a bottleneck for he CPU, the CPU is trying to run ahead and do shit loads, but has to wait for the GPU to catch up - causing a loss in frame rate.

No. In fact, I'm kind of puzzled as to why you didn't spend just a little more money to get a much more powerful graphics card.

Pft. No it wont.

I think you're getting it mixed up. He asked whether the CPU will be bottlenecked by the GPU...

Exactly... and The Soleutator said "You bet it will!" to his quesiton of if the CPU will be bottlenecked by the GPU... I said no, it wont, because it won't, the CPU is miles ahead.

Ok, I think that was a bit of a communication issue... Bottom line, his CPU will be bottlenecked by his GPU.

I'm still waiting for it... But if Left for Dead 2 already runs fluently on max setting and full AA, damn, it will run só much better with an 5850... But it's clear that I'm lacking very few performance. Thanks, that's all I had to know.
