I just built a new computer and I am loving it. This thread is mainly for me to satisfy my own ego and brag a bit (though not too much, this is by no means a top of the line comp)

CPU: Intel Core i7 950 @ 3.07GHz Mobo: Gigabyte X58A-UD3R CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D14 (F'ing massive!!) Memory: 12.0GB Triple-Channel DDR3 @ 799MHz (9-9-9-24) Hard Drives: 500 GB OS Drive, 1TB Games/Storage Drive, 160 GB Documents Drive GPU: MSI Radeon HD 5870 1 GB (875/1225) Monitors: Dual ASUS VW266H @ 3840x1200 Keyboard: Logitech G19 Mouse: Microsoft Sidewinder Case: CoolerMaster HAF-X

Did some tests last night (all stock speeds for CPU) and this is rockin!!!! My old system was really holding my 5870 back. I'll post some benchmarks later (working right now, probably shouldn't be on the forums)

Your CPU is slow ;)

...but I'm slavishly jealous of the RAM.

I am in love with the HAF-X case.

I find myself just looking through the window at time just to see inside. The Noctua NH-D14 covering half of the entire motherboard (and 4 entire RAM slots).

I actually like the color of the Noctua fans too, most people don't seem to like them.

As for the i7-950, I like it. It's shame the i7-970 is so damn expensive. They need a good mid-range 6 core CPU out there.

Looks like a nice build! Get that 950 rocking 4Ghz or more now, you can't let that D14 go to waste!

Similar to what I upgraded to recently. A 950 and a UD5.

To echo what C# said, I'm lovin' that RAM.

4 RAM slots? Seriously? I had no idea that cooler was that big...
