Call me Pingwin

Don't get me wrong, I love Kaspersky. And with the special price tag I get on it, it's a fantastic AV I wouldn't give up for the world. However, I do have a minor annoyance with it, this being the application filtering it seems to insist on performing no matter what I do.
Pretty much every time I start a new application, the anti-virus puts it in one of two groups: Trusted, and Low-Restricted, it also chooses to inform me of the act.
But I really wish it would just leave it alone, either put every application I start in the Trusted group, or just stop with the function completely. I tried turning off application filtering in the settings, but to no avail.
Any Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 users out there who ever bothered turning this off?
