Hi pp'l eversince i reformatted my kb keys have gone all strange For example:

The @ symbol is now Shift+2 instead of Shift +' Shift+3 displays # not a pound sign (don't know where that has gone) the # key displays \ and the wavy line or tilde key displays | Yes i have the latest kb drivers, searched the troubleshooter nothing:clueless: if anyone can help me here that would be mint cheers.

Sounds like your keyboard has a UK layout instead of the one you want. To fix this you must change the keyboard options. This should fix it: Go into Control Panel Open Keyboard Click the Hardware tab Select your connected keyboard and click properties Change the keyboard language layout to the one you want. Hope this helps. PS. The above only works for Windows 95/98/2000/ME systems. Microsoft changed it for XP. A search on the internet would find out how to do it for XP if you run it.
