Hi, I'm interested in buying a laptop for school. But the big problem is that with most laptops the battery doesn't last long enough. I have been recommended to buy a small netbook, but I'm afraid that I can't be able to play good videogames on it. I currently play Medieval total war, company of heroes and Hearts of iron 2, and I'm thinking of buying hearts of iron 3. Are there netbooks strong enough to handle these video games? Or are there laptops witch have batteries that last like 4 hours?

thanks

Buy a laptop and a second battery. That's pretty much your only option if you want to do any sort of gaming above, say, Minesweeper. =p

Have a look at the Alienware M11x. It's the closest thing there is to a gaming netbook.

I'm not familiar on the models, but I'd look into an Asus, they're a wonderful gaming comp and last a bit longer (as in before the whole computer motherboard included) since they don't overheat as often. Anywho I have a friend who owns a few, I'm thinking an Asus will be my upgrade from my current XPS M1330. Just a suggestion though. If I had the money to replace a laptop every few years I'd totally by an Alienware just for the aesthetics.

You buy a second battery when you're buying your laptop from whatever site - most places have the option - then when you're gaming and running low on power, you save your progress, shut down, and swap out the batteries. ;)

What's your budget?

I'd get a 15" gaming laptop, and a second battery. Be sure to buy an official one though, cheap chinese tat doesn't last long and fails fast.

Doesn't your school have somewhere for you to plug it in?
