so i've been looking to get an lcd. ordered one,but cancelled it after reading about input lag and how all lcd's have it. some people cant see it, some people can and quit frankly i have no idea because i dont have one.

i have a crt and play only fps games. i cant afford to be slowed down even a bit with input lag.

is there a solution to this input lag situation? i dont want order an lcd and get trampled on during online game play. :0wned:

thanks and good day

You wont notice any difference imo. I have a Samsung LCD which has 2ms (milliseconds) refresh rate. Sure that may not be as good as a CRT but you will not noticed a thing. It wont affect your gameplay.

What?

If you're talking about the LCD response time, then I can assure you that it is not noticeable in the slightest. I use a 16ms LG Flatron, which performs just as well as my old 17" CRT, except for the fact that it's about 5 kilos lighter.

As Rookie said, as long as you have a LCD with a low responce time (generally anything under 8 milliseconds), it will make a fine gaming monitor.

I've got a Pro View PL716s2 LCD thats got a 8ms refresh rate and I haven't noticed any kind of lag while playing games. As everyone else has said you really won't notice anything as far as lag goes.
