I was wondering if it is posible to get a WINmodem to work on linuz i read that they do make drivers I have tired them and they install but it still wont work I have a USrobotics and a Conextent modem

That's the only site I know of that do Winmodem drivers for Linux, and from what I've read both USR and Conexant chipsets are supported.

For my conextent modem i dont now the modle number all i know is its hcf the usrobotics is http://www.usr.com/products/home/home-product.asp?sku=USR5699B also i have tired the drivers on linuxtant.com and they did not work im using ubuntu/kubuntu and they would ither not open or install and nothing would happen
