Can anyone recomend me a Version of Linux which works with SATA HDD Drives?

I had a version of RedHat 8.0 on disk, partitioned and everything. But then I found out it wasnt realized it wasnt compatable with SATA drives.

Cheers.

Have a browse around www.distrowatch.com - You may be able to find a compatible distro there.

As to which specific version offers the best support, I confess I don't have much knowledge in that particular area. Best to wait for the Linux gurus to arrive. (C38368, Monster_User, Agentlaidlaw)

Not to many distro have support for Sata HD yet since they are new. Only ones that I know of that have Sata support is Gentoo and Novell. Also I think any distro with kernel 2.6.12 and above have Sata support.
