I bought a Logitech G15 gaming keyboard a couple weeks ago, and now that I've had some time to fiddle around with it, damn this thing is sweet! I'm tempted to write my own little macros for it, but there's already some pretty cool ones like this one below which shows cpu/gpu speed, cpu/mb/gpu temp as well as ram usage and more. The native fraps support is nice too!

If I could add a clock and fps monitor to this screen app below, I think it would be ideal! (I took this pic of it in action a few moments ago) lcdscreenkw6.jpgWho else here is using one of these keyboards and what is your opinion on how it performs after having it for awhile? Is your paint rubbing off? (my only concern) Any good macros you can recommend?

I've been browsing the G15 forums a bit, but I'm sure there's cool apps I don't know about.

That's pretty sweet.

I had a choice for that keyboard and my Natural Ergonomic. Whilst I don't regret getting my Natural Ergonomic.... the G15 sure does look kick-arse, but I didn't think $100 or so was a justified price, I could have been wrong.

Very nice indeed, and useful.

Hell, I will take that one. The performace LCD screen they give me I think is ugly. If you, include me in the beta testing for you release.

Or send it to me now. And I found mine for 49$. Got lucky; it was the deal of the day at a store when I was buying my new computer parts.

Australian dollars.

Oblivious had linked to some apps, and macro's, you should check them out if you don't like the looks of the original screen.

Yea I knew that. And when I got my original G15, I took at look at those. None of those tickled my fancy. This looks awesome.

And instead of having the letters GPU, why not add the FPS there?

The app I'm using above now is linked here:

http://www.g15forums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=886

...and it requires rivatuner and speedfan for the temps to show. I agree that removing the "gpu" letters and adding a FPS counter there would be great. If I ever get so bold as to attempt to mod this app myself, I'll certainly share it with everyone who's interested! At the very least I may join that forum and suggest it to the original macro author.

Sounds like you've had more than one these keyboards. Any problems?

@Rob - I almost bought the same keyboard you're using now since my wife really likes ergonomic boards. You have their latest one with the dramatically increased center hump, right? Looks very comfortable.

I've got the G15, and I'm lovin it. No paint flecks off the board yet. I'm using the BF2 LCD mod whenever I play, and it's kinda nifty. I'm gonna get this one though, for everyday use. You might also want to look at LCDStudio (www.lcdstudio.com) you can make your own displays. I've made a decent one before, it's really easy to use.

It looks very nice. The LCD screen adds a lot of potential capabilities.

Looks pretty sweet! Are the keys backlit?

I went for the Saitek. Well made board and keys are backlit as I play in the dark and it really helps.
