This is HDMI Xbox cablepicture.php?albumid=186&pictureid=9375

This cable goes to my monitor

I'm looking for a 24" monitor or TV that supports those two inputs.

Uwsar-Hat-Anupuw;5596741Hey, I'm look for TV or Moniter that supports this type of hook up

I hate to break it to ya, but that is not HDMI. =p The other photo is DVI.

Luckily, pretty much every computer monitor these days has both of those inputs, and most of the ones that do not will have an adapter.

Here's a Newegg Canada list of 24-inch displays with both DVI and D-Sub (VGA) inputs:

Newegg.ca - Computer Hardware, Monitors, LCD Monitors, 1, 1, 1920 x 1080, 24", 23.6", 24.1", 24.6", 23.5"

How will I hook up my Xbox to it? Yeah I'm noob when it comes to this. So could you explain step by step for me? or if some has setup like what I want could you snap a few shots and show me how it hooks up? like what will I do for sound on my PC and Xbox?

You can oggle it by Googling for those Tube vids.

If it were the type of 360 that has HDMI, like when they came out with the "Elite" models, it would be a lot easier and maybe better PQ, but it sounds like you have the old style proprietary Xbox connector that only works with VGA (or DVI via a VGA to DVI adapter).

Yeah...

You've got a DVI-D single link connector and a DE-15 VGA connector there. The first is digital, the second is analogue. Neither is HDMI. Both plug one end into your device, the other end into your display. Just like every other display cable on the planet. Neither carries audio, and to get sound from your device you'll either need to plug headphones into it, or audio cables out of it. Depending on the device and your audio setup, you may be able to do this with either digital (S/PDIF over coax or TOSLINK optical) or analogue (RCA cables).

Most PC monitors will have VGA inputs. At least some HDTVs will support VGA input, as well (mine does, others might not). DVI, on the other hand, seems to be hated by HDTV manufacturers, and you may need an adapter to plug into whatever has the DVI output, to convert it into an HDMI video signal.

And for your edification, this is what an HDMI cable looks like: 181-774_s.jpg It's substantially thinner than either connector you have there, and about as wide as the DE-15.

yeah the cable for my Xbox one branchs off to those Red and White Jacks and I unplug one of my cable form my computer for audio so I can play on the xbox.

So what will I need then in terms of Cables for Xbox to use for the TV monitor then? I will also assume that I can buy these cables anywhere?

As shown in the videos I linked to, this is what you need.

For only $5.68 each when QTY 50+ purchased - VGA CABLE for XBOX 360 | Accessories for Xbox 360

Another thing you may need if you merely have desktop speakers that plug in via a stereo 3.5mm/1/8th" mini jack, is a RCA jack to 3.5mm jack adapter. One of the videos I linked to shows a pigtail version of the same thing. Did you even watch them?

For only $0.40 each when QTY 50+ purchased - 3.5mm Stereo Jack to 2 RCA Jack Splitter Adaptor - Gold Plated | 3.5mm <--> RCA Adapters

This will allow you to take the two male RCA audio plugs on the Xbox VGA cable and plug them into the RCA jacks on the adapter, then plug your speaker's 3.5mm plug into the 3.5mm jack on the other end.

Since you're calling the display a "TV monitor" though, you need to make SURE it has a VGA port on the back, or DVI (rare in TVs as C38368 said), in which case you'd need a VGA to DVI adapter.

The actual Microsoft Xbox VGA cable that does the same thing and is no better quality costs $30, also mentioned in the videos.

Monoprice makes their own cables, and they're high quality ones, often times better than the manufacturer's originals. Don't be fooled by the low price. Manufacturer's, MS in this case, that have accessories made for their products make a killing on such items, and they're usually no better quality than the generic stuff.
