Rookie;3560179You can't get 32-bit 3800 CPUs (or any other current AMD processor in that flavour as a matter of fact). They discontinued their mainstream 32-bit line quite some time ago.
I was meant to have 64-bit where I've got 32. My bad.
Rookie;3560179As for a graphics card, I'd recommend a high-end GeForce 7 series card (anything from a 7600 to a 7900 should suit you fine), seeing as in lieu of the release of the 8 series prices are being slashed on previous generation hardware. It's a brilliant time to snatch up a bargain before nVidia does something silly like discontinue them.
I'll check the prices on both those. Thanks! :)
Vinegarmoon;3560223Thats the same specs as mine but i got intell 2.8 each core. make sure u atleast get a 500gig hard drive!! because vista is huge!!! might i suggest going here build your own computer! http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/
I'm not going to be getting Vista.
well I'm only guessing here! but I think he is a gamer too! and game keep getting bigger and bigger!
You'd have guessed right, I am a gamer, though not a huge one. :uhm:
I'll recommend the nVidia 8600 Ultra for a graphics card. It's scheduled to be released at $139 US, I dunno about UK. It's DirectX 10-compatible, and that's going to start making a difference. You can still run your old DX9 games, too.

Sceduled to be release? I'm assuming that you mean it isn't yet released, if so, this is no good to me as I'm going for now rather than later.

if your going for now rather than later then 320mb 8800gts is £200 and is direct x10 compatable and is the cheapest dx10 card out at the minute
